I have owned a few different air cleaner products over the years and have not really been thrilled with any of them. We have three dogs (two that shed a lot) and we recently moved and are now closer to a major freeway. To say that dust and dog dander were a problem is an understatement. After a bunch of research I came across the Homedics devices and decided to order one to try it. In the end, I am now the proud owner of three of them. I started with the one and put it in my bedroom where I could really track and manage how dusty it would get before and after using it. Within about ten days of running it at various speeds and on auto mode at night, there is a noticeable reduction in dust and airborne particles. I have certain areas where the dust build up happens quickly and on noticeable surfaces – it was about cut in half already – largely in automatic mode – and I think if I kept it on full strength during the day it would do even more.
The other thing to note is how easier they are to operate. You can put it into a set-it and forget it kind of thing – or use the remote to adjust fan speed, etc. throughout the day if you want. It’s also very quiet in the low or auto mode – and we sleep with it on. There’s a little bit of white noise quality to it that actually is better than the hum of the freeway.
Given I’m in a dusty/dog filled area I’ll see how long the filters go before changing, but I can report that so far these are doing the job intended and they are affordable and I highly recommend.
More to come in a few months.
Works great 👍, Very Quiet inside air handler and outside heat pump. I wish it had better protection for the condenser in the outside heat pump. My Mitsubishi has better protection screens on the side while this sesville is left open and unprotected, (possibly for efficiency) it will last and be durable as long as you keep the elements out of it , rain / snow / tree debris out of it . My friend who installed it has worked in the field for 32 years HVAC, just took a a couple hours. I was even able to use an electrical extension cord to get it up and running until the electrician and I get together to run the permanent electrical feed up to code.
The cooling works so well for the room 12X14 it easily cools it to 62 within ten min when I connected it and it was 80 in the room. For the price I paid for it my installer friend was very impressed with the quality for the price. Had I known it was this cheap and easy to install I would have done it ten years ago … just had a baby and baby now is comfortable for his daytime naps. A Big Thanks to Amazon and Senville for everything.
We’ve had this air conditioner (12,000 BTU version) running for several days now and it is so fabulous. I’ve never had any air conditioning system (central or window) work as nicely. Basically the house magically stays cool and otherwise you can’t even tell that the unit is on. Technically if you listen very closely you can sometimes hear the fan just barely. It’s doing a good job keeping 700 ft.² nice and cool when the outside is in the mid-80s.
The installation process itself is relatively straightforward, but you definitely want to watch some YouTube videos first to make sure that it’s something you are comfortable doing if you haven’t done it before. I actually ordered the unit with the Amazon Professional Installation option but that totally failed because Amazon canceled the installation after a few days saying that they couldn’t find anyone in the area to do the installation (despite being in a major metropolitan area). So I was left to do the installation myself. I had never run metal conduit or connected up copper refrigerant tubing, etc. but found that it was a moderately straightforward if a somewhat lengthy process. Certainly it would be a lot faster the 2nd time or if I already had electrical run to the area where the unit was being installed.
The installation instructions from the manufacturer are complete though I think they could improve them slightly to make the installation process even smoother. For example, they don’t mention that you’ll need to elevate the unit on blocks if you want to be able to put the drain joint in the bottom of the outside unit (only needed for heat pump operation). And other small details could be improved in the manual to make things slightly more intuitive. But everything can be figured out from the installation manual, it just takes a little bit longer to figure things out. Still, I should probably be commending them for making a mini split unit like this that can be installed on a DIY basis by someone who has relatively little experience the techniques involved.
Summary: 5 stars for the unit which is super quiet and cools nicely, 4.5 stars for the installation instructions, and 0 stars for the Amazon professional installation that didn’t pan out (but not a Pioneer problem, just an Amazon problem).
edit: Still easily keeping things cool inside today when it was over 90 outside. Btw, expect to spend around $300 on additional supplies for the installation, depending on how far you need to run electrical conduit, how you are mounting the unit, whether you want to install a separate cover over the line set, etc.
Squeezed these into my 2000 Tundra with a bit of mod (FAT speakers) with some Skar tweeters and 0-600 bass blockers and DAMN!
I got CRYSTAL CLEAR/CLEAN tunes!
Love em!
Doesn’t hurt to have underseat subs either
Excellent quality for the price!
Highly recommend!

The second mid-range of my old Infinity speakers got muddy like the first one, so time to replace. I could not find the exact one I replaced the first time but did find this. Sounds great ! Build quality is solid. I use the Infinity speakers as the front speakers of my cobbled together 5×1 surround sound. I do watch a lot of music videos and distortion bugs me. This model does not have the low range but even then just the pair of Infinities sound great. Besides, I have a sub-woofer so the low range is more than taken care of. My Pioneer receiver puts out 100 + watts per channel and when I tested it it got too loud for me before there was any distortion. Great replacement. Oh, there are tiny spaces that are not covered by the speaker due to the size of the Infinity hole, about 1/16 -1/8th of an inch. I just rolled up a piece of paper towel stuck it in the space(s) and screwed down the speaker. I could seal the space(s) with silicone, but . . .
I’m pretty picky when it comes to getting something like this for such a cheap price. I got it in the mail today, easy set up, and amazing clarity, and quality of sound. i have turned the volume up all the way on my tablet and the speakers and it gets pretty load, and still keeps the quality of sound. I love these. thank you so very much
We love it for our pool and being portable to take to the beach aswell. The P.A. system works great to. Long last charge and the sound is great. The built in antenna for radio is great too. Long range wifi works well. 10/10
I bought this refurbished so the box came taped wildly and the aux cord and other items came in a ziplock bag. Everything was in the box and the soundbar looks brand new. It’s set up is so easy, you just plug it into the wall and plug in the aux chord. If your tv doesn’t have aux it is Bluetooth compatible. I haven’t had to test that. It works great with my onn. Roku tv and the sound is better than just the tv speakers. For what I paid I am very satisfied with this product and recommend it if your like me and just want a simple easy soundbar that has a good clear sound.
Well all I can say is make sure you don’t get mislead by the name “wallmaster”. A friend of mine bought it and mounted it about 7 feet off the floor in an office and then found out is a floor model designed for a below the window install. Now it’s up so high he can’t adjust the louvers down towards the floor. They only adjust up. The air just goes up onto the Acoustic ceiling tile. Up Up and away they should call this air conditioner. But it is quiet and it cools nicely.
SUPER QUIET! Both the air handler(indoors) and the condenser(outdoors) are super quiet. The air is super cold.
I had a friend help me install it; he has been doing HVAC work for the past 3 years, but had never installed a mini split. It took us 5 hours from start to finish to install(including 1 trip to the store), however we got hammered the night before and had only slept for 3 hours. We also had to run 65 ft of line set, which is a lot more than usual, so that took a little extra time as well.
This unit is a great price for sure, but it ONLY comes with the condenser and air handler. I had to buy the line set(3/8″ and 5/8″), the cord to run from the condenser to the air handler. and the wire to power the condenser separately. (a few other things as well, im sure)
Overall, I’m very impressed. Super quiet, super cold, and pretty easy installation.
I installed this and a coil on my existing heat exchanger air handler. Works fantastic. Keeps the house perfectly cool. I’m in the Central Valley of California. Hot, Hot, Hot outside. You practically die without AC around here. I hired an AC technician to vacuum the lines for me. Didn’t want to mess with it. Both units came on one pallet in perfect condition delivered by a freight truck with a lift gate. The driver put the pallet in my garage. Delivery was very fast… within the week I had my order. I have several rental units and will be using them again. Thanks for saving me a bundle
Would give ZERO stars if I could. Save yourself the headache and do not buy a Goodman product. You will save money in the long run by spending a little bit more and buying a well made product that the manufacturer stands behind. Goodman offers a FALSE warranty that offers no protection for the consumer. They offer a standard 10 year parts warranty (no labor) for residential properties, and it is NOT transferrable. What they do not tell you is that if a major part goes, it is likely to cost the consumer more in labor to replace the part than it would to buy a whole new unit. Just happened to me with condenser coil. Goodman coil crapped out after only 5 years. Would have been acceptable if Goodman replaced the condenser, because that would have been an easier labor and refrigerant bill to swallow (even though I already paid this install labor and freon when I initially bought their product 5 years ago). However, Goodman would only replace the coil itself. By doing that I would have to pay more in labor to replace a coil in an existing condenser unit that I would if I were to buy a whole new condenser and have it installed. So buyer beware. THE GOODMAN WARRANTY IS ENTIRELY USELESS, and they do not stand behind their products. As a side note, I will also advise that the Goodman “customer service” rep I spoke with was probably the rudest person I’ve ever spoken to with a horrible attitude. I will not even bother to exercise Goodman’s false warranty to fix their defective condenser. Instead it will be less expensive for me to buy a whole new condenser from a good manufacturer. Very much regret purchasing a Goodman product.
I know have 2 of their unit at my home, one is still working now for 16 years. New one is for sunroom. It is super quiet and ice cold. Have installed others for pool houses, attics etc.
updates.. unit performs perfectly. wiring is simple, but 1st timers are confused.. whatever color/number inside unit is, use same for outside unit.. this is a top of the line system.

Reviews are meant to be about the equipment itself, not about other related experiences like delivery, but I’m going to add a caution here.
This is a big heavy unit, shipping weight is 146 lbs. Bear in mind that this unit is going to be handled by a single person on its journey. That means it’s going to be end over ended a fair amount. The packaging is quite strong, but it will get knocked around a fair bit on its way to you.
My first unit was a bit banged up but the unit only had minor cosmetic damage but unfortunately after I’d installed it, with much hard work, it didn’t work! Bugger! And that was at the start of a heatwave.
I called out LG under warranty because I didn’t want the hassle of returning it, and we discovered that the fan was jammed against the housing. It had to be returned.
If you return something to Amazon, it has to be packaged, and fortunately I’d kept the packaging. It was no easy feat to repackage but I got it done.
The unit was replaced quickly and the replacement packaging was banged up too, but the unit was fine.
So what’s the message here? Just be aware that it’s big and heavy and it may get damaged in transit. Keep the packaging and test the unit before you waste time and energy on installing it!
On the plus side, the $100 shipping is free with prime and it comes to your door.
As to the unit itself, it’s performed very well so far. It was a tight fit but the side covers slot into the window frame and the unit ends up very well sealed, top bottom and sides.
My old Fridgidaire was more heavily engineered and had nicer directional vents and had infinitely variable fan speed but the heavier engineering was in areas that don’t really matter. And the paint on the casing was heavier which is a plus.
Overall, I’m happy with it. The return was a pain, especially during a heatwave, but it works well, the price was good, it’s relatively quiet and the performance is up to snuff. The previous one lasted 18 years. Hopefully this one does as well.
Works really well in my 950 sq ft apt. Was worried about it taking too long or being ineffective at cooling with 12’ ceilings, but haven’t been disappointed yet. Installation took a while bc this unit is HUGE. Wish I re-read the sizing well before buying, luckily I have a couple of big windows and was able to find one just wide enough for it. Takes two to install. Def needs additional support if your window base isn’t wide enough. Installed on 1st floor and was able to find a support beam from Home Depot, but would be iffy about installing this on a second floor due to the weight, size and additional ac support install needed. Like the presets and programming. Not WiFi capable, but a lifesaver during the 80-100 degree humid and hot summer days and nights. Plugs into a regular outlet which is beneficial. Had it running from July-Sept in the Midwest and never had any operating issues. In fact this is too cold sometimes. The only concern was making sure you don’t have too many electronics plugged into the same circuit with this A/C because it tripped the circuit breaker when everyone and their mamas were cranking their A/C on max during the 95-100 degree days. That being said, I live in an older building with other tenants. So knowing your electrical system effects this unit.
We have security bars on our building and this unit is the only one I’ve found that fits inside the bars while also sitting snugly in the window sill. It runs pretty quiet and keeps our small-medium room very cool. Basic unit but fine for the money.
I’m unfortunately very allergic to our dogs and this machine has been a life saver. The air feels and smells cleaner and if the dogs are running around near the machine it automatically goes into cleaning mode and works a on a higher setting to suck up the dander. Would recommend for people with allergies.
I’ve never had any other air purifier so can’t compare to other brands, but I know this one has been great for me. It takes care of any odors, reduces allergies/irritations, and makes a nice white noise sound to sleep to. I have it in my bedroom. You can turn on night mode which turns off all light indicators on it, so it doesn’t bother you when trying to sleep. I can’t sleep without it. I just leave it on auto-mode 24/7 in there. Haven’t noticed any change to my electric bill because of it. I actually wound up buying the biggest one AirDoctor has (5000?) for our kitchen/living room (open concept). It completely gets rid of kitchen smells, which is great so our whole first floor (again open concept) doesn’t get stinky from the food we cook. The big one is super quiet compared to this, barely makes any sound at all. Refrigerator is louder. But it is a lot bigger if you are comparing sizes to this one, which is more compact.
Nice and easy controls on top of the unit and with the remote. Does a good job helping to purify the air with little noise. Does a great job cleaning the air especially after cooking in the kitchen. The display is very helpful and informative. Easy to clean and pick up and move around. My wife has noticed a decrease in her asthma and allergies since we’ve set this up in our bedroom. She also enjoys the subtle breeze it gives off and the option to turn off the display lights. Overall, very happy with this purchase.
